Our Story
Vacvator was founded on a practical understanding of rural life and real-world industry experience. With roots in farming and strong ties to sectors like mining, maintenance, and utilities, our team brings a down-to-earth, solutions-focused mindset to everything we do. This background has shaped the way we design and build our trucks, with safety, reliability and ease of use at the core.
Today, Vacvator is powered by a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team spanning design, production, operations, and customer support. Our people work together to ensure every truck meets the highest standards, and that each client is supported with honest advice and responsive service. Equipped with advanced fabrication, assembly, and testing infrastructure, our facility enables precision engineering, rigorous quality control, and personalised customisation to meet our clients needs.
With a dedicated team of skilled professionals, we ensure every Vacvator unit is built for superior performance, durability, and efficiency.
Using technologies such as 3D CAD modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), weight distribution and CAN bus software solutions to ensure the trucks have the right balance of legal axle weight compliance and maximum carrying capacity.
Our Team
Andrew Rowlands (Director and Founder) and Denis Walker (Technical Founder) both grew up on family farms in rural NSW. Their practical backgrounds and experience in maintenance, mining, and utilities shaped their understanding of safe, reliable, and easy-to-use equipment, values that define every Vacvator truck.
General Manager, Con Alvanos brings experience from agriculture, hospitality, and national defence operations. He ensures every Vacvator customer receives a high-quality product and strong support. Dominic Hallam, our National Sales Manager, also comes from a farming background. A qualified Plant/Diesel Mechanic with 15 years in mining and industrial sectors, Dominic’s operational expertise helps clients choose the right Vacvator solutions. Daniel Davis, our Operations Manager for more than 10 years, overseeing manufacturing and providing after-sales support, backed by our in-house technical team and engineers for fast and effective service.
Backed by our administration team they ensure compliance, safety and staff wellbeing. Our workshop team is made up of boilermakers, mechanical fitters, spray painters and apprentices. We’re committed to hands-on training and career development.
